Guitarist / singer, songwriter and session musician, Mike Coacci divides his time between Italy and the United States.
Him debut solo album entitled “Change” has been presented in the USA where he trod the stages of the historical sites of New York (The Bitter End, Sullivan Hall, The Shrine, Santos Party House, etc ..), Los Angeles (The Mint, Whisky a GoGo, The Baked Potato), and others in Philadelphia (Legendary Dobbs) Boston, Baltimore, etc ..
The album “Change” released in 2014, consists of 10 tracks of rock contaminated by blues and soul music. It ranges from heart breaking ballads to catchy Hendrix inspired rock songs to the title track “Change” that brings the listener into the soul/gospel vibes.
Mike Coacci has numerous collaborations as a session man in the studio and live with italian artists such as Vasco Rossi (in the song “Play With Me Remix” of 2009), Omar Pedrini ( Timoria), Danny Losito, Stefano Ligi (Lucio Dalla), Federico Poggipollini (Ligabue), Double Dee, Ricky Portera, Joe Galullo, etc …
And international ones like Thomas Silver ( “Hardcore Superstar”), Sagi Rei, Kate Nauta (the protagonist of the movie “Transporter”) , Stef Burns (Vasco Rossi / Alice Cooper), Richie Cannata (Billie Joel’s saxophonist), Popa Chubby, Sergio Cortes, Joel Rosenblatt ( “Spyro Gyra”), Matt Schofield, Elizabeth Sullivan, Manjit Devgun, Wendy Lewis, etc …
In 2015, in Paris, Mike tracked a new acoustic version of the single “Take” and presented the album in the French city with an unplugged tour.
On March 27, 2017, he has released his second album called “Soul Surgery”, which is characterized by a mor organic sound than the previous “Change”, with simple and direct arrangements that reminds to 70’ vintage style, made of powerful rock riffs and soulful ballads wisely mashed up with a touch of blues and funk.
